With their sweep of Colorado College, Wyoming has clinched the District VIII title and is headed to the DII World Series.

The University of Kentucky clinched the District V title by taking 2 of 3 against Wright State and is now headed to the DII World Series. The Wildcats will try and defend their DII National Championship crown.

Virginia Commonwealth University clinched the District III title by beating Maryland in game 3 of the District III playoff 5-4 and is now headed to the DII World Series.

SIU-Carbondale clinched the District VI title by beating Northern Illinois in game 3 of the District I playoff 5-3 and is now headed to the DII World Series.

Penn State clinched the District I title by beating SUNY-Binghamton in game 3 of the District I playoff 7-3 and is now headed to the DII World Series.
5/2/2009 -- MARYLAND ROLLS TO 8-3 VICTORY TO EVEN SERIES
Tim Grandy's solo shot around the left field foul pole put VCU up early 1-0, but Maryland took control in the bottom of the third plating 3 runs of their own, and adding 4 more in the 4th, going on to win 8-3. Maryland's win evens the Regional Championship Series at 1-1. The decisive third game is scheduled for 1:30 PM Sunday at Shipley Field, in College Park.

With their 12-9 win against UH-Downtown, LSC-Kingwood has clinched the District VII title and is now headed to the DII World Series.
