Savannah’s love of the game began at the age of five in the small town of Adairsville, Georgia, where she played in her first tee ball league. The thrill and excitement of competition made her extremely passionate about sports, especially softball, which she continued to play throughout college. During the course of her schooling she moved to Wisconsin, Tennessee, South Carolina, and ended once again back in her down home roots of Cartersville, Georgia where she played all four years of high school Varsity softball and two years of basketball. She also played on several travel teams during her high school career.

Savannah then attended the University of Georgia and was a member of the UGA Club Softball team for four years, serving as team President for two years and team Captain for the final semester of her senior year. Her team attended the 08’ and 09’ Spring Training Showcases in Tampa, FL and her team also received bids to the 08’ and 09’ NCSA World Series. During these events, Savannah got to know the CollClubSports staff and saw an opportunity for her passion for and involvement in club softball and baseball to be put to good use.

Graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in public relations provided her with a very unique opportunity to become a part of the CollClubSports team. After graduation, Savannah remained involved with CollClubSports by volunteering at the 2009 NCBA Division I World Series in Fort Myers, Florida. In July of 2009, she accepted the position of Director of Spring Training Operations.

“Playing club softball as a part of the CollClubSports organization has been one of the most rewarding opportunities of my life. The best times with my team were spent during our spring breaks, heading to Florida for Spring Training and competing in the NCSA World Series. I am very excited to join the CollClubSports team as VP of Softball Operations. I am looking forward to making every NCSA season better than the last and helping this organization grow and succeed.”

Sincerely,

Savannah Ahrens
