Nerve-racking baseball was on full display this game as UCF defeated Texas State 7-6. It was a battle back and forth the entire time with the Bobcats hitting a homer on the first pitch of the game. But it took Longball Challenge winner Matt Sanchez’s grand slam in the 7th inning to get the Knights back in the game and tie the score at 6s. Sanchez truly earned his player of the game honors by going 2 for 3 with 5 RBIs, 2 Runs scored, 2 walks, and his game-changing grand slam.
